oldfriends puppets

I created a made up brand called OldFriends Puppets, which are animal puppets that help relieve stress by providing a soft felt texture and playtime for primarily college students who struggle with stress management and/or mental health issues. The name is inspired by a Jim Henson quote: "There's not a word yet, for old friends who've just met."

Before creating designs, I delved into some of the core parts of the brand including a unique selling point, target audience, brand tone words, and a mission statement. These components helped informed a few select design strategies and visual inspirations: playful, organic, colorful, and overall an "organized" chaos. This aesthetic reflects the chaotic life of our target audience but also the happiness they'll have when the have an OldFriends Puppet. In addition to the packaging of the puppets themselves, I've also created mockups where the brand takes a variety of shapes and forms in advertising and marketing.
